VI Festival of Solidarity
On the 10th
of June we had the 6th Festival of Solidarity which had the aim to share social
issues with community, to show our work and to be more visible in our village. Also
our objective was to rise found for sanitary project in Guatemala. With the
group of youngsters we get 400 euro for the project.
SEMINAR FOR LEADERS
We have
organized 4 day seminar for leaders which works with youngsters. Leaders came
from Morocco, Turkey, Albania, Slovakia, Palestine and Haiti. We share our experiences,
thoughts and everything we know from the field of citizen participation. Also other
topics were covered, such us sustainable
development and cultural diversity. It was useful for all of us to be among
people who work with youngsters . There is no doubt that all participants of
seminar came home with new ideas.
PREPARATIONS OF THE VI SOLIDAIR YOUTH FESTIVAL
Our both projects has been aproved!!! It means a Seminar in Spain in the month of June and a youth exchange in Spain as well in the month of July!!! Now just hope we can help Zuzana with her application.
I feel sad for our partners from Ghana and Haiti, not being able to join us. Do you have any sugestions? I have one application still running but I will have response early september (too late).

CONGRATS for 550 Palestinian political prisoners who have just been released and got
home to meet their families after many years of being away because of the oppression
of the Israeli occupation... and wish the same for the rest of all political prisioners inshallah:) tonight is a great night for Palestinians and looking forward to the FREEDOM of PALESTINA!

In Slovakia we had state of emergency, because the doctors were having strike
because of their salaries.
But now its over!The hospitals are working all the time like before.
The agreement had born 7.12.2011 between the parlament and the doctors.
The Cooperative of Consumption the Zarzosa one day came to visit us with a good news to give us.
The cooperative with the money that they extracted on having sold the machinery, they donated it to our association.
The donation was of 450 €.

Palestinians obtain the status of full membership in the organization
UNESCO.
This is a final vote. By 107 votes in favor, 14 against and 52, a
large majority of member countries of UNESCO, the UN agency for
education, science and culture, Paris has agreed to entry of
Palestinians into the organization. The Palestinians will reduce the
status of a member of UNESCO.

Este es un voto final. Por 107 votos a favor, 14 en contra y 52, una
gran mayoría de los países miembros de la UNESCO, la agencia de la ONU
para la educación, la ciencia y la cultura, ha acordado en París la
entrada de Palestina en la organización. Los palestinos se reducirá un
estatus de miembro de pleno derecho.

Intercultural Meeting with a Dutch Youth Group.
Last Wednesday joined us a dutch youth group in our weekly meetings. Altogether we were about 30 persons. The dutch group was composed of the youngsters in the age between 14 and 16 years and their youthleaders.
Caused to the great weather we started the energizers outside.
The spoken languages were Spanish, English and Dutch. So that the first contact between the youngsters was of course mostly shy. But with the first activities it became more open and funnier.
The main activity was a role-play with 3 planets and their special rules, living conditions and characters. Next to love-addicted individualists lived the peaceful peasents and the religious peace-breakers. And all of them just wanted to safe their lives.
Afterwards we considered the happening and evaluated the relation to the real world. Always tri-lingual, but with patient and open minds a very interesting conversation was possible.

Last Wednesday joined us a dutch youth group in our weekly meetings. Altogether we were about 30 persons. The dutch group was composed of the youngsters in the age between 14 and 16 years and their youthleaders.

The main activity was a role-play with 3 planets and their special rules, living conditions and characters. Next to love-addicted individualists lived the peaceful peasents and the religious peace-breakers. And all of them just wanted to safe their lives.
It was very funny, because for safing the own territory from intruders or the try to reproduce yourself, it's well-known that language is not absolutely needed.
